Marvin D. Skaggs was born on January 20, 1944, in St. Louis, MO. Throughout his life, Marvin exemplified an extraordinary work ethic and innate talent, which allowed him to rise to the position of President at Semco Plastics—despite not having a high school diploma. Alongside his wife, Barbara, Marvin raised three children: David, Michael, and Steven, each of whom inherited his dedication and drive.

In 2010, David and Michael founded MDS Manufacturing to honor their father’s legacy. Armed with over 50 years of collective plastic injection molding expertise and the trust of key clients, MDS quickly began to flourish. What started as a small, family-run business has since evolved into a leading force in the Midwest's injection molding industry.

As we celebrate our 15th year in business, MDS remains a family-oriented company while embracing new growth. The next generation of the Skaggs family, along with our dedicated team of over 60 employees, continues to build on Marvin's principles of hard work, respect, and innovation. Operating 24 hours a day, MDS has grown into a powerhouse in injection molding, proudly carrying forward the values that Marvin instilled in us.
